Combining traditional textile heritage with modern streetwear edge, the fabric features a stunning transformation using fabric paint and the intricate Adire Oniko (Nigerian tie-dye) technique.
This set is defined by its striking, deconstructed texture: the center back of the sleeveless crop top features slashed cutout details, while the sides of the shorts are elevated with intricate, hand-woven braided cutouts that create a beautiful, layered open-work effect. This rebellious, shredded aesthetic is beautifully accented with hand-painted metallic symbols inspired by traditional Malian Bogolan (Mudcloth) motifs, adding a powerful cultural narrative to the garment.
